Here is the movie trailer for the movie 10,000 B.C. First a quick synopsis of the movie.
In a remote mountain tribe, a young hunter, D’Leh, played by actor Steven Strait, has found his heart’s passion – the beautiful Evolet, played by Camilla Belle.
But a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap Evolet, forcing D’Leh to lead a small group of hunters to try to save her. He and his young, largely inexperienced warriors (not exactly the men in the movie 300!) must battle saber-tooth tigers and prehistoric predators. At the end of their journey they discover a lost civilization with amazing wonders like pyramids and microwave ovens (that last part is only rumor and may not be accurate). In this great city they take their stand against a powerful god who has enslaved much of his tribe.
10,000 B.C. was directed by Roland Emmerich. They sacrificed big name stars, hoping the amazing CGI special effects would be the big star attraction. We have seen a lot on the big screen of late, but we haven’t seen battles with sabertooths (or were they in the Golden Compass)? Anyway, we haven’t seen CGI mammoths – well except for Ice Age. Anyway, we haven’t seen it like this, I’m sure. The effects are supposed to be not quite photo realistic, but definitely of a high caliber.
