Peanuts ARE NOT nuts! They are tubers (swellings on the root of a plant) whereas nuts are the seed. However peanuts usually come from the same factory where real nuts are processed, hence the warning.

- Planter’s Peanuts (metal can or plastic container)

Variations of above are also found on nearly every kind of peanuts, as a legal tush-covering measure if/when somebody kills themself (or their kid) because they don’t have an IQ higher than their body temperature.
