I love the breed myself and personally I would never have anything but. You can teach any dog tricks what you cant teach them is the love and courage these dogs are born with.

Many dogs are incorrectly identified as pit bulls when you look at the breed report of dog bites. The CDC makes it clear that the breeds they display have absolutely no way of being verified as they are reported by people who often did not know the dog or get a good look at the dog. There are at least twenty breeds of dog that can be easily mistaken as pit bulls. To date, the American Pit Bull Terrier is the only dog breed in history that has been specifically bred NOT to bite people. Any dog that showed aggression towards humans was immediately killed so that those genes would not be passed on.

I agree with everything you said about anyone owning a pitbull should have some training classes one thing I dont agree with is the point you made about it is ok to own a pitbull if you dont have children me and my husband have a 11 yr old, 7 year old, 3 year old, and a 6 year old blue pit she loves our kids they play with her we even have a neighbor who has a pitbull we take frequent walks thru the neighborhood with the kids and we have neveer had a problem I feel that aggression is in any breed juust like some people are calm and some are aggressive that also applies to animals I have as BS IN ANIMAL SCIENCE AND I AM A RVT I WORK IN A ANIMAL HOPSTIAL AND MOST DOG BITES COME FROM CHIHUAHUA AND LABS SO DO THE MATH PITBULLS ARE NOT THE ONES ATTACKING THE CHILDREN THE DOCTOR I WORK FOR HAS A COCK-A-POO WHO TRIES TO ATTACK KIDS AND I HAVE ONE THING TO SAY “IF YOU THINK MY PITBULL IS DANGEROUS LOOK WHO IS RUNNING OUR COUNTRY” LOL!!!!!

YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT PITBULLS WE HAVE ONE HIS NAME IS GEORGE AND HE IS THE BEST DOG I HAVE EVERY HAD HE IS SO SMART AND LOVING BUT LIKE OTHERS I WAS AFRAID TO GET HIM AT FIRST BECAUSE OF THE STORIES YOU HERE ABOUT THE BREED…BUT NOW THAT I HAVE HAD ONE AND RAISED ONE I WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER BREED OF DOG AGAIN..ITS ALL IN THE WAY YOU RAISE THEM JUST LIKE ANY BREED OF DOG….
