Fast PhD Degrees: Finding a good doctorate ph.D. degree program for you
If you are thinking about getting an online PhD, doctorate degree,
if you don't yet have a Masters degree, the ideal is to find one
program that takes you all the way through to a PhD. How long
will a PhD degree take online? That completely depends on the program
and how fast you are able to get through it. You may be aware that you
can buy a phd degree, or at least purchase a doctor diploma,
overnight, based on life experience. However, ethical
considerations aside, employers and others are becoming much smarter
about sniffing out which doctorate degrees are hard earned and really
signify an accomplishment, and which ones were more or less purchased,
or based on previous life experience, thus adding no new knowledge.
So simply having a degree doesn't carry as much weight as
it used to, unless the phd degree program is respected and recognized
by state and nationally recognized accreditation bodies (not all
"accredited" programs are recognized by state boards).
If you are considering a "real" PhD, one that requires real work, real
time and isn't much different in difficulty level than a traditional
degree (But it is much more flexible and convenient) it can pay
off, both in personal satisfaction and through professional
advancement. It can open doors to teaching at universities, colleges
and two year community colleges, and result in pay raises even if you
keep the same position. But be aware, it will take some work if
it's going to be accepted and respected by your current or future
employers, the media and others. (Every week we hear of another
CEO or government official who had a "fake degree" or overnight life
experience degree, and they are disgraced as falsifying their resume.)
So, do your homework, look around, and keep searching till
you find the online English program you feel best about.
And don't for a minute believe you aren't intelligent enough.
