Fast Doctorate degrees online: Are they worth it?
People considering getting a doctorate degree online fit under a few
different general situations: Those who have a Masters degree and those
who don't, those who want a online Doctorate diploma as fast as
possible, regardless of whether it is valued by state accreditation
boards, and those who want to go through the slower but more
recognized process of earning an accredited and recognized PhD degree
on line.
If you don't have a Masters degree, you can still enter an online Ph.D.
Doctor program, but you should expect it to take longer, as first the
equivalent of a master's degree must usually be accomplished. If
you do have a Master's degree, you can expect the on line doctorate
program to be faster.
If you are interested only in a the piece of paper- the quick and easy
doctorate diploma with the words PhD on it, there are online
"institutions" and "colleges" that are actually primarily diploma mills
and fast online degree phd and doctorate diploma sellers. They
may say they are considering your life experience and find that you
have earned a doctorate degree, and it may be true that you have a
great deal of life experience from which you have learned a great deal.
However, any title or accomplishment is only meaningful to the
degree that there is general agreement on how much work was involved to

can't be said, at least by conventional and accepted views in our
society regarding higher education, to be of equal value. In

valid, and many employers who check out the creditential will find it
lacking authority. And employers are getting more skilled at diserning
the difference between a fast life experience degree and a slower
doctorate degree from a respected institution.
Those who are interested in earning a degree that will be
recognized and respected by whoever looks into it, be it government
agencies, future employers, the media, etc.- they have little choice
but to go the slower route- which can be a very rewarding process, even
if it may take from one to three years online, depending upon the speed
with which one moves through one's required courses.
So as you search and research for the best online doctorate degrees, be
clear first what your goals are, then try to find a program that
matches it. And be sure to ask questions and find out if the
program is accepted and acknowledged by state accreditation boards.
